Our camps in Subukia and Masai Mara have solar pannels for electricity. We procede to the sorting of rubbish. The camps have been approved by the Nema (Organism controling the impact on the environment.We have a Conservation House, in order to sensitize people to nature, animals and environment protection. what you will do
If you want to discover Kenya, its people, its landscapes and its wildlife away from the tourist crowds, with some comfort, but without the excessive luxury, along with the ability to practice your favorite sport (paragliding, horseback riding, biking, trekking ).... Come visit us!. Subukia is the ideal starting point for all your safari! One can visit parks and reserves away from mass tourism (parks of Samburu, Nakuru, Hell's Gate, Lake Naivasha, Lake Bogoria, Menengai Crater, Aberdares, Mount Kenya ...) but also the retention of the best known and popular Masai Mara.
detailed itinerary
DAY 1: arrival in Nairobi in the morning. Transfer to Subukia (3-hour drive with view on the Longonot, Mount Kijabe, Lake Elementeita, Lake Naivasha, Menengai Crater...). Lunch and afternoon in Subukia: lake, forest, colobus, blue monkeys, numerous birds, visit of the farm with its domestic animals, visit of Mama Daktari’s house. Dinner and night at Subukia Bandas.

DAY 2: all day in Subukia on full board, with trekking in the surroundings (views on Subukia Valley, stop in a local family to discover the Kenyan way of life in a rural area, nature trail in the property (to learn about indigenous trees and their medicinal uses, bird-watching, monkeys observation...). Possibility to go for horse-riding or mountain-biking (to be paid on the spot).

DAY 3: safari all day in the Nakuru National Park (1-hour drive): rhinos, Rotschild’s giraffes, zebras, gazelles, buffaloes, baboons, flamingos, lions, may be leopards...Picnic on the top of a hill with beautiful view on the lake. Dinner and night at Subukia Bandas.

DAY 4: departure for Crater Lake Game Sanctuary (lake at the bottom of a crater) near Naivasha (2 and a half hour-drive), visit of the sanctuary, lunch on a floating restaurant. Dinner and night at Bilashaka Lodge (flower farm and wildlife conservancy with herbivores).

DAY 5: morning and lunch at Bilashaka, view on the lake, walk in the conservancy and visit of the farm. In the afternoon: visit of Elsamere Conservation Centre (former house of George and Joy Adamson, who dedicated their lives to wildlife, specially lions. Tea and cakes near the lake. Dinner and night at Bilashaka.

DAY 6: departure for the Masai Mara after breakfast (5 and a half hour-drive). Stop in Narok for lunch, arrival at around 4.00 pm. First game drive in the reserve (lions, elephants, impalas, girafes, zebras, gazelles, wildbeests, cheetahs, may be leopards...). Dinner and night at Mara Kima Camp.

DAY 7: safari all day in the Masai Mara reserve with picnic or lunch at the camp, dinner and night at Mara Kima Camp.

DAY 8: departure for Nairobi (5 and a half hour-drive) after a last early morning game drive. Stop in Narok for lunch, arrival in Nairobi late afternoon. Dinner and night at Grace House Hotel.

DAY 9: visit of the Sheldrick’s Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Conservation Centre. Lunch at Utamaduni (restaurant with garden and hand crafts centre). Visit of Kazuri bead factory (hand made jewels and potteries using Mount Kenya soil). Transfer to the airport late afternoon.

-Sports: horse trekking, paragliding (with self paragliding pilots), camel (an hour and a half from Subukia) bike.
-Nature trails on the property to the discovery of numerous trees with virtue 'medicines.
-House with information about the fauna conservation, the proposed projects for conservation, the parks etc..
-Cultural visits in the village of Subukia in Nyahururu, visits to schools, orphanage, in the missions of the Franciscan (lower Subukia and Village of Mary), visit a farm for tea and coffee.
-Farm-to kids in contact with many domestic animals (horses, much, sheep, dogs, donkeys, birds ...)
-Observation of birds, monkeys (colobus, vervets ...)

Accommodation in bandas (bungalows African style) to Subukia, tents standing in our Masai Mara field (Mara Camp Kima), guest house in Naivasha and Nairobi, eco-lodge in the Aberdares. Convivial and friendly atmosphere, natural and relaxed.

Tariff 2010 including transfers, safaris, guide, on full board: 1476 euros per person (adult). This rate might be modified if the park fees and fuel are increasing during the year.

Vehicle for safaris: minibus, Land Rover or Land Cruiser 5 seats, converted for safaris.
