Cross country ski can be practised besides of Crans-Montana in Val d'Herens and at Ovronnaz. You can find snowshoe tracks everywhere. At easy reach you can join Val d'Herens, a recently born Natural Park and Biosphere Reserve with its typical villages and its natural enchanting corners where there are wild animals, rare plants and special biotopes. Along the Rodano Valley the vineyards cover the scree of the Rive droite (right bank) while on the opposite side it is a blaze of apricot, apples and pears trees.
